Mayweather Jr. claimed Ortiz's crown: A prized boxer and a gentleman?

In 4 rounds, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. sent Victor Ortiz to the floor, and won the WBC Welterweight belt in a definitely opinion provoking fashion, that will be the subject of many discussion.

Technically, Floyd won it. You cannot throw any legal book at him, but I think there's a lot in the books of good manners and right conduct we pick and hurled against him.  Many of those who watched how he floored Ortiz and his subsequent rant against Larry Merchant, would probably agree.

Aside from the WBC title, Floyd will be pocketing at least 20 million dollars. Did he win convincingly, and with much respect? My answer is No.

Victory such as this, reminds me of countless stories of Mafia or drug cartel leaders, or corrupt government officials who managed to evade charges because of technicality.
